The Newas company

The Newas company was founded in 2012 with a clear mission. The approach to a social issue; the scarcity of rest and relaxation for employees and with it the growing need for recovery at work.

Expertise and know-how

Newas has a proven track record and a lot of know-how. In the early years, the Newas company focused on facilitating patients with care needs (including Parkinson’s and disabled care). However, the need for relaxation and recovery in the workplace grew strongly and this shifted the field of work from the care environment to the work environment. With a power nap or moment of rest as a work-relevant intervention.

Thanks to our expertise and unique power nap facilities, we have been for many companies and intermediaries their partner in the field of recovery at work. More about our knowhow and expertise.

Innovative relaxation technology

We are constantly looking for opportunities to optimize rest and relaxation. We have developed an innovative relaxation technology that helps you with relaxation and effective recovery. FPS-technology is based on the relaxing effect of low-frequency sound waves. FPS (Frequency Physio Support) can be integrated into our power nap facilities as desired and offers many other forms of recovery in addition to power nap.

Own brand VITA Sentation

Under its own brand VITA Sentation, Newas offers an extensive product portfolio of power nap facilities. These are produced in-house in the Netherlands.

Company history

  • Establishment of Newas

    The history of the company Newas goes back to 2012. The company mainly focuses on people with care needs and offers special relaxation facilities.

  • FPS relaxation technology

    Newas develops the innovative FPS relaxation technology. This offers extra support for relaxation and recovery and quickly proves to be of great added value. A pilot study at the Donders Institute (part of Radboud University) underlines the supporting value of FPS for relaxation. The technology is integrated into a series of special seats.

  • Special treatment chair: The Comfort chair

    Newas developed a special treatment chair for physiotherapists, among others. The chair is equipped with FPS relaxation technology. People with high muscle tension, such as Parkinson’s disease, benefit from FPS. They feel more relaxed thanks to the FPS. The effectiveness of physiotherapy treatments can be increased with FPS.

  • Mattress with FPS

    A special mattress with FPS is being developed in collaboration with the Dutch sleep specialist ‘De Suite’. Newas develops new FPS programs exclusively for this segment, these are specifically aimed at sleep and relaxation during the night.
    The collaboration has been successful and ‘De Suite’ has successfully been offering its customers with specific care needs this special form of (sleep) relaxation.

  • Recovery at work

    Newas sees a growing need for relaxation and recovery at work. It will further specialize in the business market with new concepts. The developed FPS technology makes an important contribution to the prevention and intervention needs in the workplace.

  • The brand VITA Sentation

    Newas profiles itself as the expert in relaxation and recovery. From now on, the products will be marketed under the VITA Sentation brand.

  • The first power nap chair

    Newas is developing the first powernap chair in the Netherlands in collaboration with ergonomic specialists. The company markets the model equipped with FPS relaxation technology under the name VITA Sentation Luxury.

    The exclusive chair is very comfortable and has a luxurious design. The integrated FPS technology offers many different and very practical options for relaxing.

  • VITA Sentation Lounger

    In December 2015, Newas launched a new VITA Sentation model. In addition to the previously released Luxury model, a second model is now available.

     

    The VITA Sentation Lounger has been specially developed for use in public areas (such as airports). The starting point was a solid, extra weighted chair in a fixed position.

  • VITA Sentation Basic

    Newas adds an extra relax chair to its product range. The VITA Sentation Basic is a slim designed chair that can be used perfectly for a power nap. The chair makes a good power nap accessible everywhere and for everyone.

  • Fit at night

    Newas places a clear focus on the increasing need for recovery for employees in irregular shifts.

    ‘Fit through the night’ projects are carried out together with care partners and night work experts designed and rolled out. This also increases the interest in VITA Sentation chairs with FPS technology abroad

  • VITA Sentation Nap Spacer

    At the end of 2021, Newas launched the ‘Nap Spacer’. The smart power nap bed has a very comfortable mattress and is equipped with FPS technology.

    Thanks to the folding function, the Nap Spacer bed takes up very little space and is therefore ideally suited for small or multifunctional rooms.

  • Latest developments

    We stick to a long-term vision and focus on the further development of our expertise: ‘Facilitating an ideal recovery moment for employees and athletes’.

    In this way we contribute to a better vitality and sustainable employability of employees. We do this with passion and based on our many years of experience.
